Dearest fellow Newgrounds creators and inspired artists,
For the fifth year in a row, Barnhouse Collective (in accordance with Lee Thompson) is running its annual Short Short Festival in both Pennsylvania (land of the Wawa and Newgrounds HQ) and Michigan (known for its “strong automotive industry” apparently)! Annnnd… guess what? YOU could have YOUR cartoon featured if selected amongst the many applicants submitting their <5min animated films! This year, there’s also going to be featured INDIE GAMES, as well! We are prioritizing creators that live in these areas and can attend the event(s), so that you may mix and mingle alongside the others that share the silver screen with you! It is free to submit. The PA show is free to attend. The Michigan show is free for the featured artist, but there is a $15 venue cover for the drive-in OR a $25 fee if you want to camp over for the most revolutionary night of your LIFE.

For those who are indie game developers, we are looking to provide you an outlet for interested gamers to play some of your greatest works! Please submit and reach out for details on how we will be cooperating with you on providing a table, power uplink, etc.
There will even be raffles to win original artwork from Rugrats, Power Puff Girls, and Adventure Time; as well as licenses to programs and gear for animation / art! You’ll even be seeing a brand new cartoon created by John Dilworth (creator of Courage the Cowardly Dog) called “Howl If You Love Me!”
SUBMISSIONS ARE OPEN NOW with an end deadline of June 1st, for both your under 5min animation or indie developed game. SUBMIT HERE!

They previewed an early rendition of Madness Combat 12, and featured toons from @pfinney, @jaime-r, @jameslee, @romeoJR, @PukeBomb, @Topcatyo, and @StudioYGKrow. James Lee was the featured artist of the event, alongside Tom Warburton of Kids Next Door fame.
