To celebrate Zach Hadel and Michael Cusack being given the incredibly well-deserved spotlight for Smiling Friends, our superiors at @PukeBomb Incorporated have decided it would be a great idea to do a little Newgrounds meetup on that day! Hello all,

Been quite some time since I posted a significant update about my life. I was previously updating monthly on the 8th, but stopped as my full time job continued to demand more of my time. Rather than continue my current role, I've been looking endlessly for different paid opportunities in sound, audio / visual work, or editing / post-production.

If you work within your own company, or know there are openings remotely for any positions, I would greatly appreciate a heads up for an interview. I'd love to work within sound design / audio engineering / editing for projects (animations, podcasts, livestreams, etc.); as I've grown passionate about both voice acting and the sound industry as a whole. With my Bachelor's in Computer Science (Minor in Business Intelligence & Analytics), I'm hoping to find a position in which I can both grow and learn. In each position I have been provided, I have been promoted to managerial roles (Stage Crew Stage Manager; College Radio Head Manager; Privacy Team Lead). Time and time again, I have proven to be dedicated, efficient, and worthy of the opportunity. For this reason, I hope you would provide a fellow Newgrounder with this chance.

I've previously been involved with leading the Voice Acting Collabs alongside VoicesByCorey & Josh Dyton; acting as the sound designer for all @pukebomb animations; and acting as the sound designer / editor for Nintendo High. Personally, I act as one half of The Open Door Policy Podcast. Professionally, I have a larger background in Computer Science that I am willing to share upon request. Due to the current position in my company, I've started losing passion for all of the creative activities I once reveled in. I need to escape from this rut and truly bring myself back to my roots.

Hot Topic (Nintendo High Episode 2)

Episode 2 of Nintendo High is now live! After a fight with some bullies, Mario and Luigi find themselves in the principal’s office! What rabbit hole will they dig themselves into this time?

Genghis has become increasingly frustrated with how the mass media companies have been censoring him online, trying the Khancel him. He's been trying to speak out and have his voice heard, but the podcast keeps getting placed on the back-burner. Cyclone & Senny are moving and that means HE'S coming, too. (I am now editing audio for my company and hope that soon I can lend my voice in their next instructional video. I've also recently been promoted to a Software Engineer 2.)

• SUCCESS: Resolve my living situation, so I am free from familial boundaries (@cyclonebreitmayer and I are moving out together into a nice apartment with a SALT WATER POOL)

By next month, I hope that I will accomplish the following:

Closing Remarks / Thank You's

I am afraid that voice acting and editing might start getting to be of a nuisance to myself. I am either going 200%, or slugging along at 30%, I can't ever seem to find a happy medium. I am noticing my voice becoming increasingly scratchy / raspy from over-use, so perhaps this break is worthwhile. I must begin auditioning for larger roles, or else I will not be given any opportunities. For anyone in the voice acting community reading this, please make sure you take the steps to be noticed, rather than expect someone else to come knocking on your door. Or, perhaps you can take matters into your own hands and create that which makes you feel fulfilled.

Hot Topic (Newgrounds Voice Acting Collab 2021 P1)

An official Cerberus production, the 2021 rendition of the Newgrounds Voice Acting Collab has been released! A huge thank you to @TomFulp for featuring us on the front page with the big box banner! We smashed our previous record (~15k views in 1 year) in a matter of THREE DAYS with ~20k listens. We hope to continue this in our next installment!

I managed this year's collab alongside @VoicesByCorey and @JoshDytonVO, performing acting, editing, and sound design for 10 of the 15 skits. This is in addition to managing the creation / approval / modification of scripts, auditions, and castings. I might have to step back slightly in terms of involvement for the next part as I have a lot of personal developments going on currently (moving, relationship, personal projects), but I look forward to seeing who I will work with next!

A short fan animation for TikTok / Instagram's DakNSeth

"Oh, DaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAaaaaak!"

Doktor Panic! is a game we are working on with immense help from @plufmot

It is a frogger-inspired high-score based mini-game where you play as none other than The Doktor himself! Help Dr. Schmuck alleviate his patients with COLORFUL! poppy pills, while avoiding the coof germs and obstacles. Uh-oh, IBS!? What a load of BS! The good Dok just got finished devouring some gas-station schnitzels, so he NEEDS to take bathroom brakes, so don't forget to drop the kids off at the pool!

Super huge props to @plufmot for programming the game, as well as @nattosumi for making the sprites! @cyclonebreitmayer will be working on the soundtrack, while I will record SFXs and voice lines.

@septicsebi is working on one of our next animations revolving around a "child," a man, and his baggie.

5 7. The Great Khan has informed me that there are some serious forces pulling him towards the Newgrounds offices. He said something about a pod-bean, a fish, and some sort of imp. I have no idea what he's referring to. So maybe you should keep your eyes peeled? Or rather, your ears perked? Your podcasts... Newgrounds'd?

Cyclone and I haven't really been looking at what's been happening in the news, but some "Xander" guy keeps calling us about a "development." Apparently he's been calling for months, but Vinny keeps accidentally deleting the recording while practicing his "set."

Closing Remarks / Thank You's

I have grown tired of the day to day continuous cycle within my career and life. Whilst I greatly enjoy having the funds to be able to pay off my student loans, I am reaching the completion of this task. My living situation is currently not ideal, as I am still living with my Father. This places me in an awkward situation, as I struggle to grow independently in my young adult life. As such, @cyclonebreitmayer and I have been searching for apartments in our area. While I would have preferred to move elsewhere like Texas / Florida, this is a happy medium for the time being. I hope that my career will shift further towards audio / VA as I continue to prove my worth in the industry. It will be two and a half years I have been at my current position, tomorrow. You take your first job, pick your second. I am not going to settle for anything less than what I feel as though will make me happy.

I have been submitting my resume to various locations in my area that deal with audio, with no luck. I even submitted emails / resumes / cover letters to a nearby professional wrestling promotion to see if they need an aspiring AV Tech, as well as Gearbox Studios. Perhaps one day, if I continue to will my dreams into existence, I will achieve my ultimate goals.

For any voice actors reading this, please be wary of predatory companies that seek to drain you of your funds in exchange for overpriced "classes" and sub-par demos. I mistakenly took an introductory class (not much in terms of funds, just like $40) that was being promoted by my nearby recreational facility on voice-over narration. I was ecstatic, as I hoped I would have met younger adults that shared similar interests as me in my neighborhood; or I would have connected with professional actors that I could treat as mentors. In the end, the apparent "ONLINE" class consisted of one voice acting "professional" shilling his $3k class, restricting us from interacting with any of the other classmates. I learned near to nothing, as he purely displayed pre-made videos and dodged any meaningful questions with smart-ass remarks. The only useful information I learned was to wear scarves in the winter, which I already do because I am a self-entitled, poser anti-hipster loser. As a result of this interaction, I feel inclined to start mass producing demos for my fellow VAs out of pure passion for the industry. If nobody is willing to give you opportunities, or will simply take advantage of you, fuck them. Take a stand, take action, and make your own dreams a reality by willing them into existence yourself through hardwork and determination.

This is a passion project that Joseph Zampirri (smash.fanman on Instagram) has been trying to get made for years, so it means a lot that I was given the opportunity to help make that a reality. I perform the editing and sound design for this series (wear headphones, thanks), as well as voice Mario. All others involved are incredibly talented, with Joe’s writing and stellar performances / direction, @cyclonebreitmayer ’s (cyclonebreitmayer on Instagram) music I’ve been a #1 fan of for 15+ years, and Joseph Amaro’s (josephamaro25 on Instagram) / Elijah Justice’s (jus.ticeleaguer on Instagram) unlimited creativity and design with their artwork. Allowing actors who have struggled to find that one role to get them to the next level, it’s incredibly important to me that I can help them achieve their dreams and make them sound as great as possible. It somewhat plays in part with my work in the Newgrounds Voice Acting Collab.

Previously, I had been using a small MSI laptop to do all of my work, which consistently overheated and made working quite the slog. I have since bought a PC build with a BENQ monitor. Now, with this new setup, and collaboration with the artist Joe Amaro, I will be trying to further "tween animate" the characters in a style of "Epithet Erased."

Closing Remarks / Thank You's

I've been getting increasingly involved with personal projects rather than auditioning for outside roles. While I am having an extreme amount of fun with working on my own animations / cartoons, I am starting to burn the candle at both ends. I'm not exactly taking care of my health or social life as I should, and am even finding it difficult to watch films as I start to feel guilty for not working on something for a given hour(s).

Having a good amount of responsibility and expectations placed on myself does become somewhat stressful, but I am used to this type of pressure. It's what allows me to thrive and continue working on that which I am passionate about, whereas otherwise I would be wasting my life away at my monotonous job. I have actually been informed that I might have an opportunity to record and edit professional tutorials for a large corporation. Let's see where that takes me. I've been attempting to find a different job that is centered in audio (hopefully in Texas), but unfortunately no buyers yet. I am not defeated, however, and will continue to strive for that which I believe I deserve: a fulfilling job in a career I am passionate about.

I'd like to thank Joe Zampirri, Joseph Amaro, Elijah Justice, and Nicholas Breitmayer for their work alongside me in Nintendo High. We have a good future ahead of us and are going to continue developing the series as a team.

The Open Door Policy (4/8)

As you may have noticed, or maybe you didn't, I did not post any new episode(s) of ODP today.

As mentioned on my last post, ODP is on temporary hiatus as I am finishing up other projects.

You will hear about those projects shortly.

Hot Topic (Cutouts Series)

I have been working for the past month or so on my first "official" animation. It is not, however, technically your standard "animation" style, so I do not feel as though it warrants attention for that particular aspect. What is important about it is the vocal performances and aesthetic. Considering I am hardly an animator, I am only capable of so much, so I must incorporate a unique style in order to make up for a lack of experience.

There is an ultimate purpose to releasing these upcoming short "cartoons," or what will be referred to as "Cutouts." I feel as though not enough attention is brought to those behind the scenes or small pieces of a larger project: the writers, the voice actors, and the concept of sound design. Within these "Cutouts," I will be bringing the faces of the performers front and center, in order to provide them with the recognition they deserve. Voices alone are capable of telling a story, but with added, limited visuals; one can truly appreciate how important such performances are. Sound design, as well, sometimes tends to take the backseat. By experimenting with sound design that coincides with visual cues, I hope to continue to improve my expertise within audio engineering.

I will likely use either original skits written by fellow friends, or take skits from the Newgrounds Voice Acting Collabs and adapt them visually. This "cutout" from a larger piece allows for particular performances to shine and be given a spotlight that otherwise might have been overlooked. I intend on focusing primarily on comedic skits and horror. You will understand shortly why only these two categories will work for the style.

The first "Cutout" to be released will be written by @Bro-son33, acted by myself, @JoshDytonVO, and @EmilyGoVo

Nattosumi / SepticSebi's Upcoming Cartoon

Production is close to finishing for @Nattosumi and @SepticSebi 's cartoon written by @Bro-son33 .

Line-work has been completed and coloring is currently in progress.

These two individuals have been working diligently in order to create one of their best works yet.

Newgrounds Podcast April Fools Day

For anyone who tuned in to listen to PsychicPebbles on @TheNewgroundsPodcast , I'm so sorry.

You likely had the pleasure to listen to @squidwardtesticles @CutToTheChase @Proceed and @HarpyCarp play really annoying and grating characters to rustle your jimmies. If you happen to be a fan of art, you likely also enjoyed Harv-E and his many NFTs.

In the near future, myself and @JoshDytonVO hope to have an upcoming episode alongside @VoicesByCorey to speak about Cerberus and our intended future together.

As mentioned in my previous post, I was involved with a certain project that truly tested my patience and acting ability. As a result of my experiences and recent changes, I have learned what to look for / what to not look for in projects. I have garnered an appreciation for my work and will stand up for my self-worth. Rather than painfully attempt to meet unrealistic expectations for no pay, I will only be involved with fully professional, original projects. I have decided to not be involved with large scale fan projects any longer.

The Open Door Policy (3/8)

The first half of Season 1 of ODP ends today, with the remaining four episodes paused for release.

I want to ensure I can deliver episodes on a monthly basis (consecutively four times), before starting the next wave.

As such, there will now be a break until we fully produce the final four episodes.

We had a relatively large budget at first, but SOMEONE spent it on Cyndi Lauper vinyls.

I intend on bringing in various talents in the second half, with some short lived familiar faces making their return.

I'd like to also bring awareness to a personal campaign, as Cyclone and I have recently lost someone very important to us. Internet famed streamer "Ween," whom we've worked with for a series of productions, has been placed on the official missing person's list. The family has informed me that they have various professionals working on her case, so it is a work in progress. For the time being, out of respect, I will not divulge any further details. In the meantime, if you happen to have any helpful information, I'd request you share it with the hashtag #SEENMYWEEN. It is an original folk/pop/country composition based upon the real Hatfield-McCoy feud, similar in style to a “Devil Went Down to Georgia” type ballad. He's actually told me his original intent was to display a style similar to that of Tenacious D's "Kickapoo," but went a slightly different route.

Hot Topic (Newgrounds Voice Acting Collab 2021)

All of the scripts for the next Newgrounds Voice Acting Collab have been written, with more than half already fully voiced and in the stages of production / sound design. I took a manager position this time around, as opposed to acting as just a collaborator. As such, I've been able to work with the individuals within the VA community to a greater extent to ensure everyone's visions were able to come to life. This includes approving scripts, organizing / managing the Discord, remediating audition and final line recording submissions, setting deadlines, and producing the final skits.

I am excited purely for the fact that this next rendition will solidify @VoicesByCorey 's original intent of bringing attention to Voice Actors within the Newgrounds community. With the two of us and @JoshDytonVO at the wheel, we intend on revolutionizing the site within the audio portal. Everyone deserves an opportunity for their voice to be both spoken and heard. We've already connected with a slew of new actors that we did not have the first time around; all incredible talent that deserve extreme recognition.

In terms of recent castings, they are as follows:

The Protectors (Dwarves, Goblins, Snakes)

The Protectors is a stand-alone mod of the game Warlords Battlecry 3, produced by Infinite Interactive. This mod has been in development since 2010. Improvements include a new campaign, modified units and tech trees, enhanced AI, a new single-player mode, special characters / companions, and higher resolution capability.

I am voicing a series of dwarves, goblins, and snakes in the upcoming patch. This will be my first role in a mod of an existing game, so I am thrilled to be a part of a continually growing and loyal community.

CryNN's Madness Techno Song (Tricky the Clown)

@CryNN was looking for a voice actor to depict a Tricky the Clown sample to be used in his upcoming Madness techno song. This is my first official song collaboration to be released on Newgrounds and similar platforms. I have done work before in samples for rappers on Fiverr, but those were smaller projects with not as significant of a reach.

RalvinTY's Upcoming Anime (Robby)

@ralvin-desu is currently working on an anime based project and has offered to use my voice as one of the characters. I cannot provide further details out of respect, so please consider following them and subscribing on YouTube!

AIKODE (Tree of Life Scientist)

This action RPG follows Aiko, an android created from human memories. However, it turns out to be a failed prototype that will have to face the reality of its past while searching for the meaning of the word "exist." I will be playing an elderly scientist who lives in the Tree of Life. I cannot provide further details on this project out of respect.

This past month was particularly excruciating for me. The Ace Attorney: Operation Turnabout project I was involved in was quite a large effort. Upon being cast as the lead, the project managers found my test lines for the first few lines of the script different from my audition. As such, I had back and forth discussions with their casting director. Eventually, by hopping on a call, I was able to resolve the issues (turns out they never gave a natural dialogue line in the auditions, so I kept making the wrong guess on the character's natural demeanor). Thus far, this was my greatest obstacle to overcome, but I remained diligent and proved to be worthy of such a position. I re-recorded the first few pages upwards of seven times, so I am now used to exhausting all avenues of a particular voice.

As usual, I'd like to thank my main men in Cerberus @VoicesByCorey and @JoshDytonVO , as well as @Fro .

I'd like to thank Team LordIban for pushing me to my limits to ensure I am the best I can be.

Welcome to my first monthly Open Door Policy | Nick Senny update (ODP|NS).

Preferably pronounced Oh-Dee-Pee-Niss...

I intend on updating all of you on the current status of The Open Door Policy and my current voice acting achievements | hopeful goals. Expect these monthly around the 8th of every month.

The Open Door Policy (2/8)

Currently, the first three episodes of ODP have been posted here on Newgrounds, with Episode 3 being just posted today. Please give it a listen if you have been following along. If not, please start listening! We're close to 1k on E1 and 2k on E2!

My intent for the show is to have 8 episodes per season, with a small break in-between the first four and last four episodes. This allows me to produce the show to its utmost extent and release them in a timely manner. Then, upon completion of a season, a longer break to plan and establish the upcoming season. When episodes are being uploaded, expect them to be placed here monthly on the 8th of the four consecutive months.

Episode 2 of SpaceQuest, made by @JoshDytonVO has been released, listen now! Featuring myself, Josh, and @VoicesByCorey. Josh produces this himself and does an absolutely stellar job, alongside the soothing but pumped music of @LDUK.

LuckyBoy (Thug)

While not a large role, probably one of my most professional to date. I will be playing a thug in Domenic Romano / DomRomArt's upcoming SCAD animation, LuckyBoy. I'd like to thank BrandyBuizel for casting me, as well. This acts as one of my most professional castings to date, considering the amount of individuals involved in the project, the production quality, and the talent I will be voicing alongside. It was actually one of my first direct live recording sessions.

The Blue Ferret Kids (Dukey Terbull)

I was casted as one of the main characters in @LittleRainySeasons / roboticdreamz's upcoming series, The Blue Ferret Kids. I am extremely looking forward to playing the shy, yet "brave" lion, Dukey, within this cheerful animation. I am looking forward to more original animated roles such as this where I can bring a character to life that has yet to be introduced to this world. Ace Attorney: Turnabout Jackpot (Apollo Justice)

I am more than thrilled to be given the lead role in this fan fully animated and written series based upon the Ace Attorney series. Among 200+ others, I was casted as the man himself, Apollo Justice. I'd like to thank LordIban and Looi for this opportunity, I will not disappoint.
